Client Supplied Vehicle Design Process

  • All artwork must be first submitted to our office, either in an email to Office@Time4Printing.com, or via a web service such as WeTransfer (free to use) or Dropbox for files too large to email. We do not accept files from Google Drive. Upon receipt of your files, our designer will review them to ensure that they meet all of the required criteria below. If they do not, you will be notified by our office manager of all aspects that need correcting. Your project will not move forward until all files have been approved by our designer.

File types accepted: Adobe Illustrator, EPS, SVG

File types not accepted: PDF, PSD, JPG, PNG, TIFF, CDR

Artwork must be vector with the exception of photographs. Files will not be accepted if all artwork has been fully flattened/rasterized.

All text must be left editable & the font files for any fonts used must be included.

All files must be in CMYK. Any files submitted using RGB will be converted as is. If you have any concerns about color accuracy, please address them during the proofing process. If you would like, you may request a physical sample of all colors to approve prior to your installation date. The approval of any color samples is due on the same day as your art approval date provided in your contract.

  • Our designer will conduct an assessment of your artwork to ensure that your design looks the best it can when installed. This entails applying your art to one of our templates and making any adjustments necessary. Our templates are the most accurate on the market. While they are not truly 3D, they do have the appearance of being 3D, with shadows, highlights, and contours. Below is a list of some of the key aspects of your artwork that we will assess.

Proper sizing of critical elements (i.e. logos, contact info, slogans, QR codes).

Proper placement of critical elements (i.e. ensuring elements are not cut off by things like door handles).

Areas where warping of critical elements may occur. Often times intense contours, such as wheel wells, can cause warping/distortion of text. We strive to avoid instances like this for a more professional look.

Similarly, we look for instances where natural seams in the vehicle may negatively impact critical elements. For instance, small text can often be lost when cutting the vinyl between door seams. We will adjust elements accordingly.

  • You will receive a proof within 5-7 business days after we receive your signed contract and deposit. Upon receipt of initial proof, please review throughly and respond with all questions, changes, and or approval. We will work with you to ensure that your artwork meets your expectations and our standards for quality in both design and install.

  • Artwork approval must be in an email to Design@Time4Printing.com by the due date in your wrap contract.
